Waldschaenke in Ellwangen

We were on our way home from the south and wanted to have dinner before the last few kilometers home. What a great surprise this Waldschänke, a menu that deviates from the usual "standard" in German restaurants, the food was a pleasure! The service is also exceptional. A nice experience!

The ribs we had were tender as butter ... The meat almost fell off the bone ... Extremely delicious I can only recommend it. Ambience great and staff super nice.

We were in the Waldschänke for the first time today, we are absolutely thrilled! A highly motivated and personable team, a small but fine menu and a nice ambience in the fireplace room. We had starter, main course and dessert, the dessert was definitely the crowning glory. You can simply taste that almost everything is homemade and only high quality goods are used. The only thing missing was to be able to tip the card. That would be great and a relief for guests who are traveling without cash. Certainly we weren't there for the last time ;-)

Spent our anniversary there. Decoration was beautifully designed and there was sparkling wine on the house :-) The food was very tasty and the prices were okay. Beautiful ambience due to simulated fire and very nice waiter!

For me currently the best restaurant in Ellwangen and the surrounding area. In terms of quality, 1-2 restaurants in the vicinity of the Waldschänke can serve the bowl of water. This is also reflected in the small, excellent menu, which is supplemented by a seasonal menu, which reflects the creativity of the kitchen. The service is very personable, without being intrusive and shows its competence not only in the selection of the right wine for the menu. Ideal for an enjoyable, romantic evening for two and for all connoisseurs of fine cuisine.

Five well deserved stars !! Yesterday we dined in a good group of friends in Waldschenke. Thanks to the entire team, very nice atmosphere, friendly service, we had a perfect dinner. The food tasted great, everything fresh and delicious! Kudos to young creative chef! Very large selection of regional and international wines. We look forward to the next visit!

An all-round positive experience, excellent food, a really excellent service and a nice ambience. I also really liked the possibility to choose from an upscale card or a Vesper card. So in our group really everyone got their money, tuna fish on avocado bed for the demanding eaters to sausage salad for the small appetite. The balancing act between a sportsman's restaurant and sophisticated gastronomy is also achieved through the different rooms, so that everyone will find something suitable for themselves.
